Event Overview

Get ready to roll up your sleeves and step into the garage! Girls Garage Day is an exciting hands-on automotive workshop designed to introduce young women to the world of automotive technology, engineering, and skilled trades.

Participants will rotate through five interactive learning stations, where they will gain hands-on experience and explore how vehicles work in a fun and supportive environment.

Why Girls Garage Day Matters

Women remain underrepresented in automotive and skilled trade careers. Girls Garage Day was created to give young women the opportunity to explore these fields in a welcoming, hands-on environment where they can build confidence, learn new skills, and discover career paths they may not have considered before.

By introducing girls to real tools, real vehicles, and real mentors, we help spark curiosity and show them that they belong in the world of STEM and skilled trades.

Join Auto Pros Academy for a special Mom & Me Automotive Workshop, a hands-on learning experience where mothers and their sons and daughters work side-by-side to explore the basics of automotive safety and maintenance.

This unique workshop introduces youth to the world of automotive technology in a fun, supportive, and educational environment. Together, moms and students will rotate through interactive learning stations led by experienced instructors and automotive professionals.

Participants will gain practical skills, build confidence using tools, and discover how understanding their vehicle can improve safety and independence.

No experience is necessary — just bring your curiosity and be ready to get your hands dirty.

Join us for the Dad & Me Garage Experience, a hands-on automotive workshop designed for dads and their teens (ages 11–18) to learn practical car skills together.

Hosted by Auto Pros Academy and led by professional instructors from Auto Pros, this interactive workshop gives families the opportunity to step into a real automotive shop environment and explore how cars work.

What You'll Learn

During the workshop, dads and teens will work side-by-side while rotating through hands-on stations that introduce essential automotive basics, including:

• Roadside assistance (tire changes and jumper cables)
• Tool training and proper tool use
• Engine exploration and understanding key components
• Emissions systems and catalytic converters
• Vehicle safety inspection basics

Each station is guided by experienced instructors who will walk participants through the tools, parts, and techniques used in real automotive repair.

About the Workshop

Junior Auto Detectives is a fun and engaging workshop designed for children ages 4–10 to explore how things work in a safe, supportive environment.

Through hands-on activities and guided learning, kids will be introduced to simple mechanical concepts in a way that feels like play, discovery, and exploration.

This class is part of the Auto Pros Academy Garage Experience Series, created to spark curiosity and build confidence at an early age.

What to Expect

This 90-minute experience is thoughtfully designed for young learners:

🔧 60 minutes of guided activities
Kids will explore simple concepts, use kid-friendly tools, and learn through hands-on discovery.

🎉 30 minutes of free play
After the class, children will enjoy playtime at Little Groove Play Studio.

A Safe, Kid-Friendly Environment

This workshop is designed specifically for young children.

✔ No cars are used during this class
✔ All activities take place indoors
✔ Tools and materials are age-appropriate
✔ Instructors guide and support each child

Small Group Experience

To keep the experience personal and engaging, this workshop is limited to:

Inclusive & Welcoming

We welcome children of all abilities.

Our goal is to create a space where every child feels comfortable, supported, and excited to participate.

Snacks Provided

We will provide light snacks during the workshop, which may include:

  • Fruit snacks

  • Apples or oranges

  • Applesauce pouches

  • Goldfish crackers

  • Water

To help keep all children safe, outside food is not permitted.

Important for Parents

  • Ages 4–6: A parent or guardian must remain on-site

  • Ages 7–10: Parents may stay or use drop-off/pick-up

  • Closed-toe shoes are required

  • Children will be guided by instructors throughout the class

AV ALTA FC Partnership Event

Auto Pros Academy proudly partnered with AV ALTA FC to support the Future Auto Techs Middle School STEM Program launching at Hillview Middle School. This community collaboration highlights our shared commitment to youth development through hands-on automotive STEM education and active engagement in local programs.


Together, we are preparing the next generation of innovators by providing middle school students with exciting learning opportunities that combine sports, technology, and mentorship. Using our custom QR code, every ticket sold at this event resulted in a $10.00 donation to Auto Pros Academy. These funds directly support our after-school programs, providing free automotive education and mentorship to local youth.

Chick-fil-A Palmdale Spirit Night

On September 25, Chick-fil-A Palmdale graciously hosted a Spirit Night to support Auto Pros Academy. Community members gathered to enjoy delicious Chick-fil-A meals while backing a great cause — supporting our hands-on automotive STEM after-school programs for local youth.

The event raised funds and awareness that directly benefit Auto Pros Academy’s mission to inspire and educate the next generation of automotive innovators. We are grateful to Chick-fil-A Palmdale for partnering with us in this important community effort.

Launch of the Future Auto Techs Middle School STEM Program

Auto Pros Academy is excited to announce the launch of our Future Auto Techs Middle School STEM Program at the Lancaster Community Center. Open to all middle school students from every school district in the Antelope Valley, this innovative program aims to inspire the next generation of automotive professionals and STEM leaders.

In partnership with the City of Lancaster, we are proud to provide a dedicated classroom space at the Lancaster Community Center, making this exciting opportunity accessible to students across the region. Starting September 8, 2025, students will engage in hands-on automotive STEM projects designed to spark curiosity, enhance problem-solving skills, and foster teamwork.

This free, after-school program is for students in 6th, 7th, and 8th grades, with classes held every Monday from 4:30 PM to 6:30 PM. Participants will explore automotive technology through real-world projects, learn about engineering and design, and gain valuable career skills that prepare them for a future in the automotive industry.

Join us in building a pipeline of opportunity for young learners in the Antelope Valley — where passion meets opportunity and tomorrow’s automotive innovators are born.
